This Privacy Notice explains how Meanwhile VOF ("we," "us," or "our"), operating as the data controller, handles personal data in connection with Forge Constellation and the forgeconstellation.com website.
1. Our Philosophy
Forge Constellation is built on a privacy-first philosophy. The Software runs entirely offline on your hardware. We do not collect, transmit, or store any data from your use of the Forges. Your creative work stays on your machine.
2. Data We Collect
We collect minimal data, limited to what's necessary for the purchase process and this website:
- ✦ Purchase information — name, email address, and payment details are collected and processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) to complete your purchase, manage subscriptions, handle tax compliance, and provide invoicing
- ✦ Support correspondence — if you email us, we retain messages to provide customer support
- ✦ Website analytics — basic, anonymised visit data (page views, country) to understand how people find our site. No cookies are used for tracking
3. Purposes & Legal Basis
- ✦ Contract performance — processing your purchase, delivering the Software, and providing customer support
- ✦ Legitimate interests — anonymised website analytics to improve our website and understand our audience
- ✦ Legal obligation — retaining purchase records as required by tax and accounting law
4. Data Sharing
We share personal data only with:
- ✦ Paddle — our Merchant of Record, for payment processing, tax compliance, invoicing, and subscription management
- ✦ Hosting providers — infrastructure for serving this website
- ✦ Authorities — where required by law
5. Data Retention
Purchase records are retained as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law. Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years after the last interaction. Anonymised analytics data does not contain personal information and is retained indefinitely.
6. International Transfers
Our hosting and payment processing may involve transfers outside the EEA. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; restrict processing; data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time (where applicable). We will respond to any request within one calendar month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. The Software itself collects no data and requires no security measures beyond your own device security.
9. Cookies
This website uses only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
